An American Affair

American Affair

Former first daughter, Chelsea Clinton will be getting married to her fiance Marc Mezvinsky later this month and everyone across America is trying to get any insight they can into the ceremony. The location, which has still not been revealed, is rumored to be the 50-acre Astor Courts Estate overlooking the Hudson River in Rhinebeck, N.Y., about two hours north of New York City. But don't rule out a possible wedding at Martha's Vineyard or even the White House Rose Garden.

The bride will most likely wear Oscar de la Renta or Vera Wang. And some guest expected to attend include Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Streisand and Steven Spielberg. President Barack Obama was invited but will not be attending in order to not take any attention away from the couple.

Although all the details on the affair are being kept very secret, New York Times reporters Sheryl Gay Stolberg and Nate Schweber did manage to get a few juicy details.

• As for the location, the smart money is on the Astor Courts, a century-old, 13,000-square-foot Beaux Arts pavilion in Rhinebeck, N.Y. Speaking on NBC's Today show Monday, Stolberg said the guests have simply been told, "Get yourself within New York City driving distance, and we'll give you the details with a week to go."

• The wedding planner is Bryan Rafanelli of Boston. Jeff Leatham, artistic director of the Four Seasons George V hotel in Paris, is doing the flowers. And Jimmy Vali, president of Vali Entertainment in Norwood, N.J., is coordinating the music.

• About 400 people are expected to attend – a relatively small number, given the Clintons' vast social network. To make the cut, guests must have had a personal connection to Chelsea, 30, and her groom, 32, and not just to her famous parents.

Above I have put together an inspiration board of what I think Chelsea's wedding will look like. I really cant wait to see pictures from this an event. As with any other First Daughter, we can all expect this to be a true classic American affair.
